Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Stained Edition. By booking a workshop, commissioning custom work, or purchasing from us, you agree to the following terms:
1. Services & Bookings
- All bookings and orders are subject to availability.
- We reserve the right to decline any booking or order at our discretion.
- Workshops and events require all participants to meet the minimum age requirement of 16 unless otherwise noted.
2. Payments & Deposits
- Custom orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin production.
- Private events require a 25% deposit to secure the date.
- Remaining balances must be paid in full before delivery, pickup, or event start time as specified.
- Payments are made via invoice sent through Square.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Please see our Refund & Cancellation Policy for detailed terms.
- Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing.
4. Client Responsibilities
- Provide accurate information regarding measurements, installation requirements, and event needs.
- Arrive on time for scheduled events and workshops to allow completion of your project.
- Follow all safety instructions during workshops.
5. Safety & Liability
- Stained glass involves tools, sharp materials, and heat sources that carry risk of injury.
- By participating in a workshop or event, you agree to follow all safety guidelines and understand that participation is at your own risk.
- Stained Edition is not responsible for injuries, damages, or loss of personal property.
6. Intellectual Property
- All designs, photos, and materials on our website are the property of Stained Edition and may not be used without permission.
- Custom designs may be used in our marketing portfolio unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Changes to Terms
- We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a revised effective date.
8. Payment Failure / Non-Payment
- If payment is not received by the due date, Stained Edition reserves the right to cancel the booking or delay delivery without refund of any deposit.
9. Damage / Repair Liability
- Participants or hosts will be billed for the replacement cost of any tools or equipment damaged due to negligence.
10. Digital Communication Disclaimer
- Stained Edition is not responsible for missed communications due to spam filters, email service disruptions, or incorrect contact information provided by the client.
11. Force Majeure
- Stained Edition is not liable for failure to fulfill obligations due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, government regulations, or health emergencies.
12. Accessibility & Special Needs
- Clients should notify Stained Edition of any accessibility requirements prior to booking so accommodations can be arranged when possible.
13. Shipping & Delivery Damage Process
- If a piece is damaged during shipping and reported within 48 hours, Stained Edition will coordinate repair, replacement, or a claim with the carrier as appropriate.
14. Data Retention & Customer Information
- Booking and communication records will be retained for up to 12 months for administrative purposes unless otherwise required by law.
15. Gift Certificates & Credits
- Gift certificates and store credits are valid for 12 months from the issue date unless otherwise specified.
16. Public Workshop Minimum Enrollment
- Stained Edition reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a workshop if minimum enrollment is not met. Participants will receive a refund or credit toward another class.
17. Photography & Marketing Opt-Out
- Participants who do not wish to be photographed must notify Stained Edition in writing before the start of the event.
18. Weather Policy for Outdoor Events
- In the event of unsafe weather conditions for an outdoor event, Stained Edition may reschedule, relocate, or cancel. Deposits remain subject to the standard cancellation policy.
19. Third-Party Venue Responsibilities
- When hosting events in third-party venues such as bars, cafes, or community centers, Stained Edition is not responsible for venue-provided furniture, food, or staff issues.
20. International Orders
- For international orders, the client is responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or fees. Delivery times may vary due to customs inspections.
21. Accessibility Limitations Disclaimer
- While Stained Edition strives to accommodate accessibility needs, certain projects or events may not be adaptable to all requirements due to the nature of stained glass work.
22. Dispute Resolution / Governing Law
- This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action.
23. Price Change Disclaimer
- All quotes are valid for 14 days. Prices are subject to change until a deposit is received.
24. Digital File Usage for Custom Designs
- Design sketches and mockups provided by Stained Edition are for client review purposes only and may not be reproduced, altered, or used by third parties without written permission.
